The Spice Yard in Altona deserves a visit for Indian cuisine. Whet your appetite with onion bhaji, paneer pakora, chicken pakora, or amritsari fish. Once you're good and hungry, move onto a tandoor dish, which is traditionally made in special bell-shaped, wood-fired ovens. The chicken jhalfrezi, featuring a curry with peppers, as well as the lamb rogan josh, which is slow-cooked lamb with cardamom, are popular favorites. Seafood lovers may enjoy sindhi fish curry, goan fish, or coconut fish curry. Vegetarian dishes are available as well. Don't forget to add the naan and rice sides.
